Turmeric Tea, Baby Sand hills & What I have been working on

Now for the CUTIEST thing I have seen in a long time !!!! the baby sandhills !!!




Turmeric’s use was present since ancient times and it all started in India. Since then this amazing spice is used all over the world and a lot of people are satisfied from its health benefits.
It is even scientifically proved that it helps in prevention and treatment of cancer and dementia, it’s useful for nausea, vomiting and other diseases and it cleanses the organism out of toxins.
Use the beneficial ingredients of this healing spice to prepare the following remedy:

Ingredients:
  • half a tablespoon of ginger
  • half a tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1/6 Tsp turmeric
  • a pinch of cardamom
  • 17 oz/ 500 ml water
  • half a cup of milk (4 oz)
  • A little honey, if desired
Method of preparation:
Pour 17 oz / 500 ml of boiling water on the mixture of all above mentioned spices.
Mix well and if you desire you can put hot milk into it. After it is ready don’t strain it.

Mother's Day and Creamsicle Ice Cream


Saterday I met Josh and his boys and Billy, Jen and Kylie at micheli's in Matlacha for a Mothers Day Lunch.
It was nice, I was nerves but it went well. The boys are getting so big !! Matt looks just like Josh did at his age too. Lunch was awesome too I had Bang Bang shrimp salad.
Sunday was mothers day and Debbie cooked lasagna I made a salad and mom made garlic bread. Franks mom and dad came over too. Frank and his dad worked on there boat and got it running and took dad for a ride.

4-Ingredient Homemade Orange Creamsicle Ice Cream

What You Need:

-1 3/4 cup coconut milk, full fat
-2 medium oranges
-4 tbsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, powdered sugar – whatever you’d like!)
-1 tsp vanilla extract

What You Do:

  1. Peel oranges and break them up into sections. Lay them flat on a baking sheet and place in the freezer until they harden.
  2. Blend coconut milk and half of frozen oranges in a blender until smooth. Add in remaining oranges and continue blending.
  3. Add in the sweetener of your choice and the vanilla extract. Blend once more until well-combined.
  4. Pour mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze until completely solid.

  5. When ice cream is hardened, let it sit out for a few minutes before you serve (so that it’s easier to scoop).

May 5th

Happy Cinco De Mayo
We had a great time today. Mom cooked all the food and it was great.. there was about 25 people and we had some rain but it cleared up and was not to hot.
