Well I have been busy this weekend. Sam is working 7 days a week 10 hours a day so I will not go see him this week. BUMMER but it does give me time to garden and clean and most of all scrap !!!
The peas are blooming and there pretty.

the garden is growing just fine.

Well it is Friday..
I spent the day and the Extension office at the Pink ribbon Ladies Lunch. Deanna and I worded our tale and got lots of info. They had lots of Ladies health stuff. I got my blood pressure done (112/72) and the glucose was 135 They said that good.

Well I though I would give the lady at the next table a black eye !!! LOL Well after I did the BFI thing NO one with me would do it after I did.. They took my hight 5'2 and my age 48.. ahd then the weight is 137 and said I need to loose 18.5 pounds !!!!!! I was not a happy camper.. :) :) :) Way too funny any way It was a great Pink Ribbon Day...


I came home and cut some fresh broccile and steamed it for dinner,,

Thursday Set up for MRC

Today Deanna and I set up for the Ladies Pink Ribbon Luncheon at the Extension Office.
We have a table for the MRC Medical Reserve Corps. The table looks great and there was another table by ours that had the Derma thingies that tells you about your skin. LOL there all talking about the sun damage and dry skin on There's so I did mine and the only thing she saw was purple under my eyes and said it is poor circulation !!! well I have always had dark circles

Tuesday was the 1st day by myself in a long time. Sam and Josh are both or at work !!! I went to Lexington with Marge and shopped all day. We left at 8:30 a.m. and got back at 5:30 P.M.
I got Josh some thing for his birthday and I cant show you because he is a stalker too.. LOL But I can show you the new chair I got.. Boy did we need it too. LOL Just in time for me to be alone at home all the time...


Wednesday Yes it is bingo at the nursing home. After that I got some Tomatoes to replace the one I killed with weed killer... Don't ask !!!! I will tell you the gravel driveway has not bugs in it...

Memorial Day Weekend

We had lot's of visitors over the week end and got lots of work done too. Cameron,Leann with Mason were here everyday.


Sams Nephew and his family stopped by that was the 1st time we got to see there little Jackson. He looks like his dad too.

Later Sam's brother Chopper and Freda came over too.


Monday Sam and I went to his family cemetery for a while. There aare some very great opportunity's to take some fun photos

Now I sit here Monday night all by my self... wow for the 1st time in a long time I'm all alone. It's going to take a while to get ustoo this.. Hope your week end was just a good
Happy Memorial Day! I am very grateful to the men & women in our armed forces and their families who make a huge sacrifice everyday, to make sure we get to maintain our way of life.

Mason's visit

We had some company this weekend. Sam Is home and we got the air conditioner fixed and some of his honeydew list done. :) We'll See what we get done tomorrow it is a long list.... I cooked redfish for diner is was great..

May 21

I spent most the day shopping with Marge in Paintsville and Prestonsburg. I found this garden stake at a dollar store. It is about 18 inch's I could not resist.. Are they cute or what ?????


When I got home I weeded the front flower beds. this is the 1st year the the Rhododendron has bloomed and I have had it 4 years..

This is the first bloom from these and there are about 30 of then this year.

Josh cooked Portabella Mushrooms and I had mine as a burger and he had his on a salad. They were so good. Josh said if all vegetarian food tasted that good he would never eat meat again... I don't think I would go that far.. Have a great nite.

Sorry I have been a bad blogger. My mom even called to say why I haven't posted anything....
I hate when life gets in the way.
Here we go
Saturday I drove to WV and stopped at the Huntington Mall and got my manicure and pedicure too. then stopped to get the shoes we ordered for Sam in Gallapalis Ohio in the poring rain. I had to go over the Ohio Rive and could not see a thing. Yes I was a nervous wreck. I hate BRIDGES...........

Sunday we had the Moose Golf Tournament. It was only about 45 outside and the high was 67.... It was cold all day. I went to take photos and one of the wife's asked are you with the newspaper?? I said not the Moose hired me !!! LOL We all had a blast and there was lots of beer consumed. None by me!!!

Monday started out not so fun. Sam had the Stress test to do.. :( No Caffeine, No food, and No Caffeine makes Sam not so happy.. we were at the Hospital and 7 AM and got out of there at about 10:30 and went to Bob Evens for breakfast. after that we went to the Moose... LOL we were fine after that.. there were birds Not too sure what kind it is and deer and friends...


Tuesday got home just in time for a MRC meeting then I worked more on the flood soaked books,lace,toys,material,etc. and rested. I finished the last book that I had soaking in water trying to save.


Wednesday is BINGO at the nursing home and what a great day they had. I had a meeting for the homemakers. Josh and I worked on the yard, garden and changed the oil in both cars. I even cut some flowers for the house. the Peonies are so bug and smell so good.

I just love to wake up to that.. I will finish packing and go get Sam's shoes we ordered on my way to OHIO.. I want to find a place to get a pedicure done too. That is what I'm getting for my birthday. If I can find a place I will get a massage instead !!! Around here I will be lucky to get the pedicure.

Happy Birthday to ME !!!!!!

I had a good birthday today.
I tilled the garden and planted the beans next to the corn. I even have broccoli already.

I got all the rest of the stuff from the basement clean and put away. I still have lots of lace and stuff to wash but it is all dry for now.

Josh my son took me to the Chinese buffet for dinner. He would not get his photo taken with me so I took a photo of the cake I had.

Still cleaning up !

Today was better but I'm sore and tired. I have most of the stuff clean and all the trash is gone. the mud is still covering the basement for now. I took a break for a while and took some bird photos. I hope to have a great day tomorrow. hope you all have a great one too...

I HATE Kentucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today has been hard. I slept in tell 7am then went to do Bingo at he nursing home, it is Wednesday.. LOL Marge took me to lunch for a early birthday . After that I started on the flooded basement. It was hard and sucked to see all the stuff ruined ruined like the clothing and material ,toys books, the hard part was the paper scrapbook stuff

BUT the really hard stuff was the quilt I have been working on for the last 2 years. I have to try to save it. I have it in water now soaking I just know to keep it wet. When I called mom and she said don't let it dry out .

this is my new bedding set.

Tomorrow is another fay and the thing that makes me feel better today and I know it should not is every time I go by my Neighbor I see he is taking out all his carpet and furniture so I guess I was very lucky it did not get in my house.. Good nite and have a great day tomorrow... I have a Extension meeting and then more trips to the dump !!!!

The Flood got us again !!!

Yes the flood filled the basement again.. This is the 2nd time in 50 years.. I will update you more when I get time. It did not get in the house but the people next door it did. The Pizza place had about 6 inches in it also.

Day 129

I have the car all loaded and am waiting to see if the river gets any higher before I go. I have the sub pump on and there is not much I can do even it it does rise but will feel better if I do.
